Kenny Slaught – Boulder Dam Was Renamed in Honor of President Herbert Hoover

Kenny Slaught was discussing the past of Hoover Dam, and he said the massive structure was finished between 1931 and 1936, during the Great Depression, but cost the government 49 million US dollars. Boulder Dam was its initial name, but was later re-baptized to honor the President of the time, Herbert Hoover, as he helped a lot so that the dam would be completed. 221 meters high, 379 meters long, and holing more than 35.000 cubic kilometers of water, the dam would yield every year, more than 4,2 billion kWh2.
