Kenny Slaught

Kenny Slaught headshotSince founding Investec Real Estate Companies in Santa Barbara, California, in 1983, Kenny Slaught has led the firm through the execution of more than $1 billion in property transactions, encompassing residential, commercial, and office spaces across five coastal California counties. As president of the most successful real estate management enterprise in Santa Barbara, Kenny Slaught manages 40 employees, 3,000,000 sq ft of retail, office and self storage properties and directs the company’s investment strategies and decisions in accordance with his evaluation of fluctuations in the real estate and financial markets. Under his leadership, Investec has obtained permits to develop 25 housing communities, primarily in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, and has built and sold more than 1,000 residential units.

A longtime resident of Santa Barbara, Mr. Slaught supports several local nonprofit organizations and public institutions, including Storyteller where he was a founding board member 26 years ago and Hospice of Santa Barbara. Having earned a degree in business and economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, he has served on the UCSB Foundation Board of Trustees since 1996. For 15 years, Mr. Slaught has helped grant the aspirations of patients suffering terminal illness as a member and current chair of the Dream Foundation board of directors.

Kenny Slaught has a California real estate broker license, as well as certification from the California Contractors State License Board. Outside of his profession, he has competed in triathlons; completed the New York City Marathon; and enjoys swimming, biking, and hiking.
