Kenny Slaught Supports HSB’s Anticipatory Grief Services Initiative

It isn’t easy dealing with a terminal or chronic illness. Kenny Slaught says that Hospice of Santa Barbara created a series of support programs for these patients and their families.Children are affected by these situations more than adults, and many programs are aimed towards the kids. It’s been noted that before turning 18, 20% of people see a loved one passing away. Furthermore, before reaching adulthood, 1 in 20 individuals lose one or even both parents. Everyone finding themselves in one of these instances can receive free support as they struggle with grief or fight the onset of  depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
