Santa Barbara is a small town in California, is located 150 kilometers north of Los Angeles, close to Santa Ynez Mountains. While the current city of Santa Barbara spans a territory that historically was occupied by Chumash Indians for thousands of years, the city was founded by the Spanish in 1782 and just happened to US power in 1846. This city is known as American Rivera offers the modern elegance of the southern coast of California along with the design of Spanish style dating from the sixteenth century. In addition, it is sophisticated coastal, and easily accessible from Los Angeles and San Francisco, has something for every audience, from lovers of food and wine to those who enjoy outdoor activities.

This city has a blend of traditional and American modernism, for this reason, visitors and residents have a variety of plans for entertainment in leisure time, for example, Santa Barbara offers a beautiful beach of similar characteristics to Santa Monica with long pier included. Contrary to large urban centers like Los Angeles or San Francisco, Santa Barbara is an accessible city and is very easy to get around in it. There is a bus network pretty good, and with that and a bike can get anywhere because there are bike lanes all over the streets. This city is home to over 400 restaurants with a variety of gastronomic offer which makes its streets benchmark for romance at night. It is a city of the Central Coast, offering visitors the opportunity to experience regional flavors, often in buildings that exhibit an elegant Spanish colonial architecture. The relaxed style of the area means that there are many informal proposals but highlights raise fresh and organic produce at higher levels gastronomic.

The landscape and geography of Santa Barbara are another attraction for visitors, thanks to its beautiful mountains, a turquoise ocean, stunning scenery and sunny weather throughout the year are some of the things that make Santa Barbara wonderful. For these reasons Santa Barbara is home to hundreds of artists, winemakers, chefs, and breweries constantly looking to create something different; this city is a focal point for culture. Santa Barbara has some of the best places for walking and those who love walking will find plenty of entertainment. From walks along the beach to mountains and waterfalls; or beginner, the options are limitless. It is advised to check water levels before visiting the waterfalls and wet weather things a bit difficult. Whether looking for a flat path or a more challenging in the mountains, this city will leave you more than satisfied.

One of the highlights is Inspiration Point Hike routes, which consists of 5 km of stunning ocean views of the mountains and the Channel Islands; it is the ideal place to watch the sunset. Be prepared to climb about 243 meters, although any individual in the form will have no problems in doing so. Another notable option is the Seagull Hot Springs; depending on where to start can become a challenging hike of 14 kilometers full of shrubs or simply a walk in the woods. The hot springs are natural pools with dark sands and green waters. Just 19 kilometers southeast of the city of Santa Barbara is the safest beach in the world; Carpentry, as the locals call it. Perhaps it is safe to the slight slope of the terrain, the calm waves or the friendly community. Perhaps the case of sea lions playing in the water or natural pools that attract thousands of starfish, crabs and sea urchins what both attracts people. The views of the mountains, the laughter of children and the smell of bacon apple sensory stimuli are typical of the area.

Santa Barbara is full of places full of history and beauty. From the impressive fountains to the bronze statues and incredible sculptures, art is around every corner. An amazing way to spend the day is to go out and find pieces of art. One of the most charming sources is the source of the dolphins, located at the entrance of Pier Stearn.

Another attraction is that Santa Barbara has one of the recognized high-quality educational institutions in the United States. It is called the University of California, is located in the north of the city. The campus is very nice, as is on the edge of the sea. There is a huge library where you can find anything you are interested, there are many computer labs with Internet access, there is a center where there are many restaurants to eat, and on the same campus is the health center. When you come here it is mandatory that you be subscribed to health insurance from college. It also has a health center. In addition, this campus is well known for its program of physics and chemistry. But it also has computer programs, movies, psychology and economic conditions, among other subjects.
