Professor in UCSB’s Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, David Low, will create a revolutionary project named “Strategy for development of enteric pathogen-specific phage”. This will concentrate on coming up with methods to manage antibiotic resistant bacteria. As Kenny Slaught notes, the professor will develop phage to identify and kill bacteria that causes enteric diseases in infants.
