Kenny Slaught Supports HSB’s Anticipatory Grief Services Initiative

Kenny Slaught notes that Hospice of Santa Barbara provides a thorough range of services benefitting individuals facing terminal and chronic illness, as well as their families. Several of the programs at the organization serve the needs of children as they struggle with the impending or recent passing of a loved one. As 20 percent of children experience the death of a loved one before they turn 18, the services are incredibly beneficial. One in 20 children must face the loss of one or both parents before they reach adulthood. Hospice of Santa Barbara upholds its mission to provide individuals in these scenarios with donated support through the following programs. This support helps individuals process grief to offset depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
