The room contains 16 big generators as well as a smaller one that acts like two. Together, they offer hydroelectric energy to 15 regions situated nearby, including some Native American tribes. Southern California uses 28% of the energy, Nevada uses 23%, while Arizona takes up 18%. About 90% of the water in Las Vegas comes from the dam, which is managed by the United States Bureau of Reclamation. Its lake, called Lake Mead, can be one of the biggest water reservoirs in the US at full capacity. It is one of the country’s most beautiful spots to see.
